My experience in the States

Even though this experience is not done yet, I've got a lot to say about it.  It has been  such a nice thing to get to know people from other countries, learn about their ways of being, culture, cuisine, and the like.
Not only have I personally grown as a teacher but also as a human being. I have learned that I need my family, my people. I never imagined the sorrow I could experience, and I am happy to say that I never thought this experience would have been that good iether.
Any way,  I am here and believe me I've been taking advantage of everything and I don't think anybody has done just as I have. I came here to learn, to have a nice experience, to share, to enjoy, and I just have, I am proud of that.
When I was asked what I expected from the experience, I just said that I didn't want to go back home been the same teacher or person, and I am not. There is a new me that really makes feel proud of and it is good to hear my ten year-old kid saying to me that she is proud of me and that she is doing all right and that she just wants me to be back by the time I am supposed to. She also said to me that I had to enjoy everything, to live the experience and to buy her  nice Hello kitty stuffs.
It is also our duty to help the program go on, it really is a nice one and we need to make the program better, to add useful information. We must support the program, if it is not with money ant least with good ideas and do that it has to be done.
I am glad I was chosen and I expect many other Ticos could come if they also work hard. It was  not  that easy to get into it and people who have done it is because they deserved it, and fought for it. I am happy to say I am one of those.
